When Top Rank set the stage for Devin Haney versus Vasiliy Lomachenko, the undisputed championship demanded a visual identity that matched two elite tacticians. FocalScape spearheaded the "Checkmate" campaign concept, treating the matchup as a high-stakes game of psychological chess.

Our team developed a complete 3D visual system to bring the concept to life. During our initial creative exploration, we digitized the athletes into hyper-detailed gold and stone pieces. While the final campaign utilized traditional king pieces, this design phase established the premium tone for the entire package. We built complex chessboard environments, animated shattering sequences, and delivered a fluid motion graphics suite for Top Rank, ESPN+, and their partners.

The campaign extended far beyond the screen. We scaled the creative system to dominate Las Vegas, anchoring massive billboards along the Strip and fully consuming the MGM Grand Garden Arena. By unifying the live stadium displays, fighter walkouts, and main broadcast sets, we ensured the historic night felt cohesive and impactful from every angle
